With a modern symmetry and a sleek bow, the design provides excellent tracking, especially suited for a kayak without a rudder. The rear deck is low to minimize wind resistance, making it easier to roll and re-enter the kayak during a self-rescue.

The hull shape is one of the reasons why Unplugged is such a good beginner kayak. Shaped as a shallow V, it provides ample stability that inspires confidence in new paddlers, while a continuous keel line ensures good speed without sacrificing maneuverability.

The ergonomic seat and padded back rest offer a very comfortable experience in the cockpit. There’s ample space, while integrated thigh braces ensure optimal contact with the kayak. Unplugged features a medium keyhole cockpit design that supports excellent paddling technique while also being wide enough at the front for easy entry and exit, making it ideal for beginners. The cockpit rim is recessed in a broad groove to make it easy to attach your spray deck.
Well-Thought-Out Details
In addition to a well-designed deck with essential bungees and lines, we’ve added a paddle roll on one of the front deck lines, so it’s easy to secure your paddle under the line during breaks. The Unplugged sea kayak has sturdy bulkheads, sealed from both sides. The round hatches are easy to put on and take off. All fittings are recessed to minimize the risk of hand or finger injuries while paddling, and the skeg control box is located at hip level, making it easy to operate while staying clear of your legs.
Make the Unplugged Sea Kayak Your Own
You can customize your kayak by choosing unique colors, adding extra equipment, and designing a kayak that’s truly your own. Once you’ve chosen the color and size of your kayak, select “design your own kayak” to play with colors and equipment options. On the Unplugged, you can add an extra storage compartment in the foredeck with Kajak Sport’s 3.5-liter daybox. If you want a rudder, Unplugged is prepared for one with internal cable routing and a stainless-steel fitting for the rudder mount. Behind the cockpit, you can install our Rescue System with YKK buckles to secure the paddle during a self-rescue—adding extra safety as a beginner kayak. Additionally, you can opt for a stainless-steel lock brace if you need to leave the kayak in exposed areas. If you want to ensure even better contact with your kayak, you can choose the SmartTrack Transitional footrests as an add-on option also.
Unplugged Sea Kayak – Size Guide
Unplugged is available in two sizes. Your height, weight, and thigh and hip measurements are key to determining whether you fit the Regular or Large size. Here is a guide to sizing:
Regular: 160-185 cm, up to approximately 90 kg.
Large: 170-210 cm, from approximately 90 kg.
